Brighter Future

Working towards a

Northwest Research Center

We connect people with opportunities to advance healthcare through the development of safe, reliable, and effective medications, devices, and treatment regimens.

Clinical research is the first step in developing safe and effective medical treatments.

At Northwest Research, we work closely with pharmaceutical companies and the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) in an effort to produce safe and effective pharmaceutical products. Northwest Research contracts with pharmaceutical companies to find volunteers for the advancement of medical care by participating in clinical research.

Northwest Research is part of Northwest Primary Care.

We established as Allergy Associates Research Center in the early 1990's and joined forces with Northwest Primary Care in 2018 to broaden our research focus and therepeutic areas of interest. Northwest Primary Care is an independent medical group with deep roots in southeast Portland. As part of NWPC, we are committed to the mission of providing the highest quality healthcare to every patient, every day, at every phase of life. Our offices are located onsite at NWPC’s Sellwood clinic.

What Patients Are Saying

“When I first visited Northwest Research Center, I knew I probably had asthma, however, I didn’t know how to live with it. Northwest Research Center was the first to diagnose me with asthma as well as show me what other allergies I had. Now after several studies, I feel right at home there. I know most of the staff by name. They are friendly professional and I feel welcomed every visit. Most of all, I know how to live with my asthma and I know what causes it to flare up and the proper way to treat it.”

“I have enjoyed participating in numerous research studies that Northwest Research Center has offered over many years. The staff is highly professional and knowledgeable. They stay on schedule and respect my time constraints. Additionally, they are all very pleasant to interact with! All the studies maintain a high level of adherence to study protocols. It has been a fabulous way for me to “stay on top” of my health issues (both asthma and allergies) and also receive a bit of compensation as well. I say that is a WIN/WIN for everyone.”
